Rechargeable Faith - Boaz
at 2025-03-07 12:19:15.0 / 518 HitsAs I went about my daily life, I noticed a common thread among the conscious people around me. They have found their reason for living amid their struggles. They respect the value of life given by God and live with the mission they have been given on this earth. I think I am one of them. In the past, people were categorized by their blood type. Now, the MBTI categorizes people into 16 types of people. According to it, I'm an ENFJ, which means I'm an extroverted, intuitive, emotional, and judging type. In a war, I would most likely die first. They say I'm a front-runner.
Nevertheless, I don't think I'm emotional because I think a lot in my ministry, and I see myself stumbling in my thoughts to harmonize with the rational element. As such a thinker, I recently asked myself, “What is the power that keeps me alive?” It's a question that comes from a longing to find the power that keeps me alive, even though I know why I live.
I thought about the most advanced civilizations that we use in the present day. Electricity, which allows us to live brightly and cheerfully at any time, satellite radio waves that connect us to 5G wherever we go, and artificial satellites that tell us where we are going by taking a GPS image. In addition, the smartphones we hold in our hands are our assistants. If you ask ChatGPT or AI a question with your voice, it will answer you like a conversation. You just need to be able to utilize it effectively.
But do you know what's surprising: all of these cutting-edge devices are useless without energy. My best Lamborghini or Porsche sports car is nothing more than a fancy toy without gas or electricity. The same goes for my smartphone, which I bought last year. If you don't charge it regularly, it's just a piece of machinery with smart features.
What this means is that all things, including us humans, have energy that allows them to live. Just as we need water and food to live, equipment and systems need energy to power them. It gives them the power to exist and function.
This led me to look at the faith of Christians today. We are doing mission and service in the church community, but where is the power that enables us to do it? I asked myself the question and thought about it. For faith, faith is the fundamental energy. For worship, the power of God the Holy Spirit is essential. Especially, the practice of faith, worship, and love is possible for a saved person. The driving force of that salvation is the gospel. I think that the engine that can sustain this salvation is Rechargeable Faith.
