When choosing shoes, we often find ourselves torn between two options. One is expensive and rare but uncomfortable for long-term wear, while the other offers no special value but is comfortable to wear. Well, what should someone like me do? It's a dilemma, but I believe most people ultimately choose the shoes that provide immediate comfort.

Approaching it this way, our journey of faith doesn't seem all that different.
We tend to prefer the quick, easy, and convenient path. We desire prayers answered instantly, paths that open immediately, and choices without burden. Yet, we can all agree that God's timing often feels uncomfortable, like shoes that don't fit our feet. Waiting drags on, situations don't unfold as we wish, and frustration boils over, leading us to protest against God or even doubt Him.

Just as feet become accustomed to shoes, when our hearts are molded to God's timing, we mature and find true peace within that waiting.

The world's conveniences offer fleeting comfort, but I believe God's timing leads us to eternal peace and profound grace. Therefore, rather than avoiding discomfort, why not trust God shaping us within it and take each step forward?

“I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart.” (Psalm 40:8)

I ponder the psalmist's heart. Though God's timing may seem slow, I pray that you and I may become those who trust and follow the path that is ultimately most fitting and blessed for us...
