Happiness Is Like a Flower - Boaz

A flower does not simply appear. A seed must first be sown in good soil. Then, hidden in the dark and suffocating ground, it must endure a death-like struggle before it can sprout. That small sprout is the new beginning that comes after pain. Isn’t life like that as well? At times, true life can only emerge through unseen waiting and patient endurance.
For the sprout to grow, it needs fresh water and nourishment. The leaves stretch out to receive the sunlight, gathering life within themselves. At last, a small bud begins to form, preparing to bloom. Just as the nutrients of the soil, the light of the sun, and unseen hands work together to make the flower blossom, so too is happiness not born alone. It grows richer when surrounded by love, kindness, encouragement, and care from those around us.
And then comes the moment of fullness. The flower grows only as much as its branch can hold, then stops, and in that stopping it finds completion. At that very moment, the flower smiles brightly, sharing its beauty with the world. Happiness is the same. When a smile finally blossoms on our faces, we begin to taste the meaning and joy of life.
Yet, a flower does not remain forever. Its radiant smile is brief, and soon it fades away. At first, this may bring us sadness. But in truth, the falling of blossoms and scattering of petals make way for new flowers to bloom again. So it is with happiness in our lives. Though it may seem fleeting, it always returns. This is the cycle and the miracle of happiness.
Above all, what matters most is the true source of happiness. Just as flowers need sunlight, water, and soil, so our happiness must be rooted in the Creator, God. Because of Him, life never loses hope. No matter where we are or what circumstances we face, we can still sing of happiness. Happiness does not come from situations, but from hearts firmly rooted in God.
Today, I pray that in the Lord, beautiful flower-like happiness may bloom in each of our lives.
