Hello, my name is Yoel Kim.

I really love playing soccer. In the past, I thought that winning and performing well in games were the most important things. So when a game didn’t go well or when I made mistakes, I would easily become angry and feel disappointed in myself.

During a difficult time, I came to pray to God sincerely for the first time. I began with the question, “Why is nothing working out?” but as I continued to pray, my heart gradually began to change. I came to realize that the process is more important than the result, and that I am not alone—God is always with me.

Since then, my attitude toward soccer has changed. Even when I don’t win, I can still be thankful. I have learned to care more for my teammates and to do my best in every situation. It feels as though God has become the coach of my life, guiding me.

Through this, I have decided to take part in this confirmation ceremony, choosing to follow the path of salvation given by Jesus Christ, who is the true coach of my life.

Although I am still 부족하고 growing, I want to continue to grow in faith, trusting in God. Whether I am playing soccer or living my daily life, I want to live in a way that brings glory to Him.
